Journaling: Day 2

Today, It was Alysia, Rebecca and me working on the tri-fold. We had actualy got a lot done. We were pasting everything down and we were orginizing everything. We were also brainstorming for other important ideas we had got from ms. Anderson. The other group was working on the wind turbine and they were wraping the coals. And that was basically it.

Journaling: Day 1

Today, In class with Ms. Lopaz we worked on our wind turbine. My group is Biomass. We splited our group into two groups. One group worked on the tri-fold and the other half of the group worked on the wind turbine. I was part of the group that was designing and making the tri-fold. It was just me and Rebecca working on it today... Because Alysia was absent so she was not part of it. Rebecca and i were planing out what the bored was going to look like, that was our first step. The second step was to reach the goals that we had set. We had set to do the facts, Disadvantage, and the Advantages. We had reached the goals toward the end of the class. So, That is it =]

Dear Susan Davis,

My name is Angelina Luna. I am in middle school, I am a 6th grader and I go to High Tech Middle Media Arts, I also live in Rancho San Diego. This letter is important because I want people to realize that using renewable energy sources is important. I am important because I am the next generation in life and I’m trying to save the world, by stopping global warming.

If we don’t help prevent global warming it would be a real disaster for all of us. So it would be very helpful to me and the other people around me by trying to get more people to use more renewable energy sources so we can all stop global warming. This is very helpful because we would be helping the earth and all of the children on earth. If we don’t switch to renewable energy sources than some things could happen to us if global warming continues.

The temperatures would change: Average temperatures would increase from 1.4-5.8C. It could also affect us and our diet of eating. Diseases would spread all over the world much more easily. So if we don’t switch it would be a big disaster with no food, disease and climate change.`

I would also like to thank you for all you have done in the past. Like, Helping the constituents, standing up to protect the wild and domestic animals and supporting the rights for women. You have been very helpful to all of us and we really appreciate it so thank you very much! I think i have made my point. So if we could just all step in, and help everyone by preventing global warming. Than maybe we can all make a difference in life so the world can not be so polluted and so we can all feel more safer.

Ever felt like a freak?

Yes, I have felt like a freak before... and the reason is because i said something that someone else think sounds nerdy. Like, If i tell one of my friends i like something that is fun they think its stupid and they start laughing or make fun of me. It makes me feel kind of weird when I'm around them or i cant ever say anything like that again. Once, i told my friend something proper and she started laughing. To my friend Paige i was acting rude and she told me she wanted to start playing golf and me and my friend Keanna started being mean to her. I totally regret doing that to her... So when i look back i feel like a horrible person even though me and Paige are still best friends :-) 

My Poem: Friends

Friends are cool friends are nice 

When I'm around them i get to me mine

They hug you, they laugh, they smile

They'll be there for a while

Sometimes there's drama 

But in the end i love them

My Book: Freak the Mitey

Freak the Mitey, What i thought about Freak the Mitey was... It was a bit confusing because when they were explaining in detail about the characters i got confused. I got confused because i didn't know what characters they were talking about at a time. When the book was talking about Freak i thought they were talking about Mitey and when they were talking about Mitey i thought they were talking about Freak.My Brain got twisted. Its was my first time reading it, So since it was most of our first times reading it maybe they should have made it more clear and understandable. I think Freak is the more Shy, Nervous, happy, and smart kid, Because of the description i got from the book.Especially when it said he had braces. Mitey is the more strong, big, mean and weird one. He seamed liked he used people for their brains. (Freak)

 

My Book: Madison Finn

I have been reading a book called Madison Finn. The book is about a young girl that is 13 years old, her name is Madison Finn, her friends call her Maddy for short. She loves spending time with them. Her parents went through a divorce over the past year. Madison's life has been very depressing for her especially when she finds out her dad is getting REMARRIED to a lady named Stephanie! Maddy does like Stephanie, she just doesn't like the fact that her dad is getting remarried to another woman that is NOT her mom. She is also very scared that it wont be the same and that she will loose her dad. Madison was very surprised when she had found out. She is a big part of the ceremony, She is the Junior Maid of Honor. She has to travel to Dallas Texas on Stephanie's parents ranch for the wedding. The wedding was in two weeks from when she was told. And that is all that i have read so far :)
